I ordered some guages for my car since it came with very little instramentation. I chose a cheaper manufacturer and now I think that my oil pressure sending unit might be going bad. The manufacturer of the guage does not appear to sell sending units and I have contacted them in the past with little sucess for other problems.

Can I use a sending unit from a different manufacturer, or do I have to stick with the same manufacturer as the guage?

I assume you are talking about an electronic oil pressure gauge? Usually when you purchase an electronic pressure gauge you must use their oil sending unit as well. Using a different unit could result in an inaccurate reading from the gauge.
