2007 Scion tC check engine

i have a 2007 scion tc and i recently put a short ram intake on my car.when they installed it the check engine was off then after two days my check engine light turned on. what is the problem is it a major problem or should i bring to the shop. the short ram intake is for scion tc and it have a slot for the sensor. thanks in advance
