1996 Saturn SW2 Warning bell

The warning bell rings when the driver's door opens. There is nothing running and the car is in park, the emergency brake is on,etc. What could be causing the bell to ring when the door opens? The bell stops when the door is closed. I have checked all the doors, the rear hatch, windows, etc. Everyhing appears to be fine.

Sound's like your key minder in the ignition switch is sticking try this with door open and bell dinging push in on the ignition key hole and see if the bell stop's.
