2003 Saturn LW Wagon - Yesterday I noticed fluid leaking into the driver & passenger footwells. This morning both floor mata are soaked through, and after removing the panels either side of the center console, I can see a black box covered in condensation that seems to be the source of the leak. The A/C recently had a part replaced, so I'm wondering if this is part of the A/C system and is something to do with the previous fault (a/c simply not operating at the right temperatures). Any assistance is welcomed! Many thanks.

Is the part that is all wet right behind the passenger foward kick panel the little panel in front of the center console thats where the heater core is. Is the water u see clear or is it oily like coolant? If its coolant its ur heater core. If its water u probably have a clogged a/c drain. Also what part did they replace on ur a/c.

Yeah, the leaking comes from the kick panels at the back of the footwells either side of the console. It's clear water, no oil or residue as you'd expect from coolant. Also checked the coolant levels which are fine.

Not sure which part was replaced as I didn't take it in for the initial repair, but from what you've said I think your clogged a/c drain theory is likely.

I really appreciate your help, will get it checked out.

If u want to save some money u can clear the drain urself there easy to clear. On ur fire wall towards the middle u will see a hole where the water comes out theres a long bolt holding it in take the bolt out then remove the drain it might be a little stuck but it will come out then be ready there will be alot of water comming out then just clean the tube and reinstall make sure u do this with the car cold so u dont burn urself. Let me know how it goes.
