1999 Saturn Station Wagon Slow and hesitant accelleration

it runs fine 80 percent of the time, but when trying to gain speed to pass it pigs out for several miles, then begins to run good again for along time.

I would check your fuel pressure check your plug's and wire's also check and see if your fuel filter is clogged which it probably is.Also you could have a bad coolant temp sensor even my 1999 saturn Sl2 was doing that and it turned out to be a bad coolant temp sensor.
