I recently had my saturn inspected and it said there were three codes not ready to pass and they were the EGR the O2 sensor on the manifold and the catalytic converter. I replaced both the EGR and the O2 sensor at the advice of my mechanic and then ran through the drive cycle multiple times just as he had told me and still its been well over 400 miles and it is still reading codes not ready to pass. I am at a loss for what to do. Please email me as soon as possible since this is the only vehicle I have and Im unable to drive it since it wont pass inspection. Thanks.

It just said the EGR O2 and catalyst were not ready to pass. A couple months before getting the inspection the check engine light came on and I took it to a shop and they cleared the codes and the light never came back on. When I replaced the EGR it was really dirty and I thoroughly cleaned the area before putting the new one in. Then I did the drive cycle the mechanic gave me multiple times and had it checked and still it said not ready to pass and so I replaced the O2 sensor and did the drive cycle a couple more times and recieved the same unsatisfactory response once again. Any help would be much appreciated.

The code not ready is not the same as when the computer flags a trouble saying there's a problem with that componet or circuit. Iam no expert on smogs I never did smogs just everything else on saturns. Iam doing some checking on the codes not ready for u and will let u know what I find.
