sounds like power stearing but when you listen close it sounds like it is coming from the valve cover.
High pitched whine.

most common things to whine on that model car is the idler pulley bearing and the a/c clutch bearing.u will just have to get a scewdriver and put it on differnt parts carefully and put it too ur ear and listen to where its comming from.theres not much to whine under the valve cover when the timming chains get loose its not a whinning nosie more like a rattle rubbing noise.let me know what u find.
