Engine Performance problem
1991 Saturn Sport Coupe 4 cyl Front Wheel Drive Manual 200k miles

is it normal for the engine to cut out at 4000 rpm at idle that is me reving the engine is it a saf-T- feature on the Engine that is in the E.C.U to cut off at 4000 rpm or there is another problem that I need to Adress

its normal its just a rev limter so u dont over rev the motor they all do that and yes its controlled thru the ecm.
