I have an 02 sl2 that I changed the engine on it and now it will crank and would start for 1 second then die I can do this all day long. I checked the spark between 2 end on the coil and getting very good spark. When I dump gas in it, it will run fine until the gas is gone, changed the fuel filter but no luck, it seemed like it has a good fuel pressure when I push on the ralling valv. I mean it spray gas relly good. I put a nother pcm in it and did the same. Please help

Did that and still doing the same thing. When checking pulse on the injectors I get a light that is not pulsing. I changed the steering colum and took the old chip of the old colum to the new one, don't know if that made any difference. I think it is an injectors problem.

Is your security light flashing on the dash when it doesn't start? Also what year and model car is the engine you got the engine for your car out of?What year and model car did the computer you changed come out of?Why did you change the steering column? So when you changed the steering column
and you said you used the old chip you just reused the old ignition housing or you did something else?Let me know.

The security light flashes on and off. The engine came off a 2001 sl2, the wiring harnes was exactly the same the only difference was the injectors which I used the ones that came with the new engine. I put back the old computer in the car because the new one didn't make any difference (car was doing the same thing). I changed the steering colume because the ignition was broke (someone tried to steel a saturn lol). But when I got the other steering colume I just reused the old chip that has a plug into it with 3 wires coming out. The last thing when I was doing what u told me to do with the key and waiting for 10 min, the secuirty light would go out with in a few seconds but I still waited for the 10 min.
Thanks

So did all this no start stuff start when you changed the engine or before?Your not suspose to change just the chip it comes with the ignition housing you could have damaged the chip or not got it in correctly. It sounds to me with the security light flashing that you have a security issue. When you put your old computer back in did you try the relearn I posted again? If not try it again. Let me know what you find.

Tried that and didn't work. The old engine was locked up ( throw a valve) was working fine befor that. When I tried to turn the ignition on for 10 min and rebeat that 3 time, on the first try the secuirty light will come on and stay on then it go out after 10 min. Then if I try it again (the second time) it will go out after a couple of seconds, but it won't start. Do u have a diagram for the secuirty and the injectors.

Here is the wire diagram for the security system and the security system operation explained. As you can read when the security system is engaged it shuts the injectors off thats why your car starts when you prime it.With your security light flashing this is what has to be happening explains everything you have decribed to me.Problem is we cant get the codes your car is setting so we can follow the trouble tree. The codes are stored in your body control module most scanners like the store bought ones dont read body codes. Also when you get the code you need that same scanner to read your passlock sensor voltage so you can trace the problem down. What i think might have happen is when you changed just the chip aka the passlock sensor you damaged it your suppose to just change the whole ignition housing not just the passlock sensor. When i say the whole ignition housing i mean where the ignition cylinder goes into and turns the ignition switch.Thats really the only thing that makes sense to me unless theres something you did when you changed everything i cant see. What you should have done when you changed the steering column was just have left that passlock sensor alone and used the igntion housing that came with the column. Then learned that new passlock.
