Car starts and stops- security light is blinking. Have had problem before and fixed with a new key fromm dealer and also disconeccting battery for a few minutes. looking for other options.

a new key wont help with ur security light there isnt a chip in the key on that model.the sensor is in the ignition housing and the key cylinder has a magnet on it.ur best bet is to see what codes are in ur body control module if u get them let me know what they are and ill help u out with that.
