2001 Saturn SL2 Engine Temp Light on Display Panel

Engine temp light goes on in cold weather when I start engine and goes off a few minutes in idle and does not go on again.

Sir-I've looked for an engine temperaturre gauge sender/switch but none listed for yours-However you might want check the connections on the coolant temperature sensor and also measure its resistances with an ohmmeter-Cold and Hot
