I had just purchased my car and got told the speedometer had a loose wire but I do not know where the wire is or where to even start at.

Will need to remove the instrument cluster assembly to check behind it for loose wiring, also check the speed sensor mounted on the tranny to ensure the wiring is connected good there as well.

How do you get to the instrument cluster? Where are the bolts located? Where on the tranny is the speed sensor located and how do I tell if its good or not?

The vehicle speed sensor (VSS) is located in the differential area of the transaxle.
To replace the VSS, disconnect the electrical connector from the VSS. Then remove the retaining bolt and lift the VSS from the Transaxle or simply unscrew the VSS. Installation is the reverse of removal
