how do you replace this switch? i am pretty sure this is what is wrong b/c 1) window wont roll up/down, 2) had to move switch up/down many times to get to work in past, 3) switch feels "mushy" & no longer clicks. I pulled the assy out & tried to clean w/ rubbing alcohol. then i ordered a new switch for $35 from dealership. but how do you take out old switch & put in the new one?

If ur talking about the switch in the center console that switch comes as a assembly with all the switchs i have never gotten it any other way from the parts department.that is held in by a spring loaded clip that is behind the mirror switch at the edge of the switch.u can take a small pocket screwdriver and release it.let me know how it goes.
