Hello

My car burns oil, Saturn mechanics say I need a new engine, can't afford it right now and I need to take my car in for an emissions test, what can I do to improve my chances for passsing?

I burn about 1 quart every 300 miles and currently run 10W 40 high mileage oil.

Hi there,

The array of oil stop leaks and stop burning is not worth a buck of cow****, best get a service and use the heaviest grade oil they have, also a general purpose oil stabilizer may help and wont do any harm to seals as other products do, this is about all you can try.
