1998 Saturn SL2 Shift lever

1998 Saturn SL2 Manual

I have a 1998 Saturn SL2 with a manual trans, and the shift lever is loose but it does go into gear. I know it is not the shift cable or the cable bushing. The play is in the ball at the bottom of the shift lever. Is there a way to tighten it up or do I have to replace some more parts? And if so are there any aftermarket parts available?

First of all thank you so much for your donation. Your shifter is not serviceable it's replacement only.I don't know of any aftermarket shifters there may be some high performance ones iam not aware of. You could always get a shifter from pick a part or a junk yard to save some money that's what I would do if it was my car. Let me know if I can help you out anymore.
