Engine Performance problem
1998 Saturn SL2 107,00 miles

The car feels like it will not go into gear -- it "jumps."
I have had it in for repair for this from both the Saturn dealer (5 years ago) and a couple of mechanics. No one can seem to find a problem. I am afraid the car is just going to stop -- is this possible?
The coolant light went on but when I took it in for repair, the mechanic said nothing was wrong. He topped off the coolant.
