1998 Saturn SL2 4 cyl 45000 miles

car sat in garage for 5 yrs. Keeps stalling at 1/2 tank of gas. Chnaged fuel pump, but didnt help.

Did u change all that old gas out?Flush the fuel lines?Change the fuel filter?Change the oil?Change ur battery?Let me know.

Hello,

We emptied and cleaned the gas tank, oil changed, new fuel pump, new fuel filter. Since then it now stalls out at 3/4 tank, before doing the maintenance it was 1/2 tank before stalling.

That sounds funny that it stalls out at 3/4 of a tank after u did all that work and it stalled out at a 1/2 tank before. Did u replace just the little pump it self or did u replace the whole big module with the fuel lines and all that?Also when it stalls out will it restart up or do u have to wait to start it?Let me know.

Hello, the fuel pump and filter was replaced. Once it stalls it starts right back up will drive a few feet then stall again.

Sounds like u just replaced the pump did u have to wire the new pump in with but connectors?Did u change the pick up screen also?When it stalls ur going to have to check the fuel pump pressure and let me know what it is. Let me know what u find.
