I was driving up hill with my high beams on and all of the sudden a big surge of current hit the system and my high beams went out as well as my right low beam headlight. A similar thing happened about 6 months ago except it was just the high beams that went out, which i quickly replaced. While im driving I have also recently notice that the internal lights vary with intensity as well as the headlights sometimes. I know very little about cars and am probably just going to replace the low beam tomorrow, before i buy the high beams I just wanted to get an opinion on what the problem might be, the alternator perhaps? Thank you so much for any advice
