Hello,

I have a 1997 Saturn SL2 with 250k miles on it. It has a lot of mileage but it runs really good. I keep getting a P401 error code - EGR Low air flow. Brough it to the dealer, replaced the EGR, brought it back again, same error, cleaned and still getting the error.

What are they missing? Everytime I bring it back it cost me a lot of money and they could not fix it. One service advisor suggested to get a new car.

Looking at the post I need to clean a port. Could you let me know where the port is at. Do you have a step by step guide. Looked at all the repair manuals in the library and could not find a procedure.

Please help.

basically the opening where the egr valve is found needs cleaned to free up any carbon that may be stuck in there.
