Just recently my car has been idiling high, both in neutral and when shifting gears. What could be the problem?

Hi fwtnye and welcome to 2carpros

shifting gears. Is it a manual transmission? Clutch could be slipping.

Also go head and check the idle air control valve and throttle position sensor-
