After disconnecting, then reconnecting the battery, I drive the car approximately 5-10 miles and the battery light comes on. The alternator is tested and the alternator is not charging. When I disconnect the battery again and reconnect it, the battery light goes off and the alternator now charges. That lasts for another 5-10 miles and the process is repeated all over again. All the wiring was checked including the fusible link and the battery is brand new.
