1995 Saturn SL2 Tranny Problem

couple of questions

1. is the brake fully depressed before your shifting from park ?

2. I there a noise accompaning the jerking like a banging or a popping ?

if its the latter of the 2 more than likely the tranny is on its way out

so when it shifts it shifts hard if thats what it does then it sounds like u have too high of line pressure very common for all the s saturns its the pressure regulator in the valve body it sticks or the spring breaks its giving full line pressure when shifting it should only get full line pressure when going into reverse.let me know more about the shifting.
