What are the pro's and con's to adding pure acetone to the gasoline mixing 2oz acetone to 12 gal of gas for better mpg.

I wouldn't add acetone to gasoline it's a corrosive and you could damage your engine.I have never heard that it will increase gas mileage or even doing that it must be a old urban legend.That's the best i can tell you about that one is don't do it.I also don't see how it would increase your mileage.
