2001 Saturn SL1 security system

when the security light comes on most of the time i cannot start it up for long periods of time. I need to know what could be causing the problem.

Most of the problems they have with that system are caused by the ignition switch and the sensor inside of it but you would need a Tech2 scan tool to be able to diagnose anything accurately.
