when i try to accel. my car jerks for awhile until i get up to 55

Does it still jerk at 55 mph?Does it only jerk while trying to get speed up?How does it run at idle?Also if you haven't yet go to a auto part's store like auto zone and have them read your code's and bring me back the number's they give you.
