2000 Saturn SL1 Engine struggling and sputtering

The engine seems like it struggling during idle as well as acceleration. There is little power when pushing on the gas and its also coughing out of the tailpipe with water and a black soot like substance.

I really hope someone can figure out whats wrong.

do u know if u have any codes?sounds like a plugged cat on ur exhaust or a coolant temp sensor.let me know if u have any codes first.
