1999 Saturn SL1 radiator Coolant

1999 Saturn SL1 4 cyl Automatic

coolant light comes on and stays on most all the time. Someone told me that I needed coolant in my radiator, also needed to have my radiator flushed first. THANKS!

Hello -

Yes definitely on the adding coolant. You can burn the engine up or warp the heads and cause a head gasket to blow if you are not careful.

Check the fluid level of your coolant and add 50/50 mix with engine running heater on..... No need to flush first......... Once you have the correct level then if you want to check on the cost of flushing the system do so..... But never drive with the light on to prevent engine damage.
