I have been having some problems with my Saturn that are sort of hard to explain. I have noticed that I only have the problem when it is hot outside such as the middle of the day, but when i drive in the morning or at night it works just fine.

First, when it starts up the engine is shaking/bouncing around. Then when i drive, i will have my foot on the accelerator either trying to maintain my speed or accelerate, and I can feel it just stop working. Then when i push down harder, the rpm's go up but my speed stays the same, almost like it is not in gear or something. I usually push the accelerator for a while or just wait for it to accelerate again.

I have been trying to figure it out. I took it into a mechanic and they put in new spark plugs but that didn't fix it. I don't think they ever test drove it in the heat though, just the morning.
