Noises problem
1994 Saturn SL1 4 cyl Front Wheel Drive Manual

when i take off up in till i hit four gear it makes a a noise like the brakes are rubing or hang up and i need to know if the valves can be tighted they tap a little

As far as your brake's dragging or them being worn out you will have to do a brake inspection to figure that one out.Also at idle can you hear that noise in neautral with the clutch pushed in or out?Now with your lifter noise there is no adjustment you have roller self adjusting lifter's.Check your oil level if it's low it cause louder lifter noise.Or you could have worn lifter's if the noise isn't too bad i would leave it alone.You could also have a loose timing chain,
