my air conditioning has not been working for about a month and this morning, the 'service engine soon' light came on. Are these things related and what might be wrong with my car?

Hi there,

I doubt that they are related, for the A/C problem have the refrigerant level check as a leak in the system is usually the cause of this problem, and for the check light you will need to have a scan done to check the set fault code in the ECU, start here.
