1997 Saturn SC2 Cooling Fan fuse blowing / Temp rising to h

So the cooling fan motor was replaced for sure?The only two thing's i have seen blow that fuse was a bad fan motor or the wiring going to it shorted to ground somewhere.Most common place melted to the exhaust manifold.So i would check the wiring from the under hood fuse box to the fan motor.

Thank you for your quick response. I checked the fan wire harness as you suggested and sure enough the harness was too close to the manifold and melted the wire casing. It appears the mechanic who replaced the fan did not connect the harness to the fan housing via the clips. I am not sure though, as the original problem was the fuse blowing. anyway I repaired the wires and reattached the wire to the fan hosing and wallah! I am back in business. First of all thank you so much for your donation.What I think happened was your old fan motor was blowing the fuse.The guy replaced the fan motor didn't put the wires back into the wire hold downs on the fan shroud and they melted to your exhaust.I have seen it lot's of times that's why I always make sure the wires get back in there and if there broken I use zip ties to hold the wire's in place.But glad to hear your back in business and that I could help you with your problem.
