1996 Saturn SC2 oxygen sensors

My engine service light is on all the time . had codes read. was told that both oxygen sensors need to be replaced. can i use universal sensors for both. was also told car would drive fine just as it is by some people. how important is it that i change the sensors. what are the short and long term consequences of not changing it.

Driving with bad o2 sensors will damage ur cat build up excessive carbon in ur engine.could cause ur car to run lean also.u can use universal o2 sensors u just have to wire them up.what codes did u have what numbers are they u usually don't get two bad sensors at the same time.let me know.
