Electrical problem
1995 Saturn SC2 4 cyl Front Wheel Drive Automatic 122k miles

I've had electrical problems with this car since I bought it. Didn't come with the book. My rpm guage has been out since purchased and transmission has started to slip going into 2nd reverse completely went out and purchased a new battery once battery light came on. Car lost power and died shortly after the purchase. When I bought the car everything was out on the drivers side. A mechanic friend said this may all be from faulty wiring. Have tried to replace the alternator but Dont know how without taking out motor mounts. Please help.

Let's start with ur alternator ur transmission is electricially control so if u have a bad alternatir ur transmission won't shift correctly.it comes out the bottom u pull it out the passenger wheel well area.do u have a volt meter?let me know.
