1998 Saturn SC1 Automatic

I just recently bought a new fan belt and had it put on and on my way home tonight it came completely off, is it safe to drive without it or do I need to get it put back on?

The belt need's to be on there or your water pump won't spin and circulate your coolant your alternator won't charge and you won't have power steering.Another word's your battery won't charge and your engine could over heat and get damaged without it.make sure your belt tenisor is good that could be the reason your belt came off.
