wheel bearings

I read the article on changing wheel bearings...is this the same for a Saturn Vue FWD. I am hearing a loud whining noise as I accelerate and it seems to be coming from the rear of the vehicle.

Probably is. It makes a noise similar to a tire that is chopped when it starts to go bad.
