theft deterrent radio

i have a 1996 sl 1.9L DOHC
i got the vehical as a gift and it needs a little work but in my repair manuel it always talks about the theft deterrent radio i dont have any activation code and i dont know how to turn the system off, if i even have it so how do i tell if my vehical has it and how wold i turn it off
please help

You will see a little red light blinking on it if it has-The radio w/n play w/o the activation code. No code its just another unwanted decoration on the dash.

turn the system off, remove the fuse for it on some system you have to remove the room fuse Mazda mx.
