I have a Saturn SL2, 2002 model with 64,500 miles on it. It has recently started idling strangely. When I come to a stop, the RPMs will jump up and down, then it will idle very low and it will act like it is going to quit all together. It did this a while back, but then it stopped doing it. The last time I went for an oil change they told me that I needed to have my serpentine belt changed the next time that I came in. Is it possible that this could have anything to do with it? If not, what could I ask them to look at to find out what the problem might be?

No, the drive belt wont do that.At that mileage your pretty much due for a tune up.Start with the basics. Service the fuel injection and decoke the throttle bore.Service the Idle Speed Control motor and tune it up with OEM parts. If the problem continues it might need to be put on a scanner to see what's wrong
