I have a 95 Saturn SL, 1.9L SOHC with 131,000 on it. Recently, the oil light started coming on only at idle. The other strange part is that it only comes on at idle after the car it at its highest temperature. So if im idling and the temp gauge isnt halfway yet, no light. As soon as I touch the throttle peddle and the rpms rise slightly, the light goes out. I am stumped and looking for some advice. I was going to check/change the pressure sensor, but I am unable to locate it on the engine. Wheres it at? Thanks for your help!

Hey dolisson,
The O/P sensor is located either on the backside of the engine or close to were the oil filter attached. Though I would also recommend a more thorough diagnosis as what you describe may very well be a oil pressure issue and not the sensor. Due to oil pump wear or engine wear. You can for the time being, change to a thicker viscosity oil and see if that helps. Let me know!
