Idle noises

I have a 1998 saturn sl sedan with 69,624 miles on it.
When the car idles lower than 800 rpms it makes this rattling noise in the dash. What is it and how do I make it stop. It does not do it all the time so my machanics cannot figure out what it is. It is a minor problem but would like to get it taken care of.
