98 Saturn LS2 just stops. Replacing CKP sensor didn't help

I have a 1998 LS2 Saturn. Dual overhead cam, automatic w/ 97,000 miles on it. My car will crank just fine but if I drive for any length of time it starts jerking at first like it's out of gas and then it will just die. I let it "rest" for a while and it will crank right back up but, when I start driving it dies again. I replaced the crankshaft position sensor but the problem is still there. No codes are showing up on the computer check. PLEASE HELP!

Did you test for proper fuel pressure? Test for spark and fuel pressure when the engine will not start.

Good hunting and let us know. :)

How do I test the fuel pressure and can I rent the equipment to do it? What's the easiest/quickest way to check for spark? Do I have to wait until the car stalls again before I can do this? My problem is that every time the car stalls I have to get towed back to the house (4 times in the last week). Sorry for all the questions but I'm new at this. Thanks for any info you can give me!

You would have to check with the local parts suppliers for rental info. There is a schraeder type valve that the gauge hooks up to. Do it first thing and when the cars dies if the first test does not show a problem.

Check for spark by pulling two wires off of 1 coil and crank the engine. Looking for nice fat blue spark. Need to know if there is spark when the car isn't running.

Good luck and let us know. :)

PS. Pay my travel expense and I'll be very happy to stop buy and check it out. Georgeous state. Was there last year. Dumped the Harley i rented up on the north shore beach. Still had a great time.
