I'm having the same trouble as an earlier visitor where the gears are difficult to change when I depress the clutch. The must car be off in order for me to shift into reverse or first gear and then it moves slowly once I start the engine, inching along as if the clutch is semi-released. However, the problem diminishes considerably once I've driven the car for a half an hour or so. I've been using the RPM and tach to gauge shifts and starting from a dead stop in second. Any ideas what might be happening here? I haven't tried any repairs or taken it in for a diagnostic yet.

Hey Felix,
Sounds as if you might be having some trouble with the clutch hydraulics.
1 Is the clutch mastercylinder fluid full?
2 Try pumping the clutch pedal several times? Does the shifting improve?
3 Where does the pedal engage the clutch? If low to the floor there is a 90%+ chance the hydraulics are bad.

Good luck and let us know. :)
