Steering problem
2002 Saturn V6 Front Wheel Drive Automatic 70000 miles

The dealership (Georgia) has stated that I need to replace the inner tie rod with an estimate of $770.00. Is this concidered to be a reasonable estimate...or should I go shop it around?

Not so sure about an "inner" tie rod...but, it never hurts to shop around and get a 2nd opinion, especially if you have the time. My limited experience is that dealerships are generally more expensive and if you take some time and do due diligence, you can probably find a nice "independent" repair shop that costs less. Start by reading the "Avoid Car Repair Ripoff" on the left-side navigation bar here on this site. It gives good advice on how to find a reputable place.
