The gears were a bit sticky, then suddenly the clutch was almost all the way to the floor. I took it in for repairs and was told it needed a new clutch. Got the new clutch. However, when I got the car back, although the gears are smoother, the clutch is still almost all the way to the floor. Also, the car had a new clutch a couple years ago due to a common bad clutch problem with this model. It would wait a second or two or three after releasing the clutch before engaging and continuing to move forward. Two questions: Are the clutches in Saturns really so bad that they have to be replaced this often? Shouldn't a new clutch be stiffer and not still be almost to the floor?

Sounds like a hydraulic problem. Might want to find another tech for a second opinion. I have seen those clutches go 100k

I'll second Jack on that. Sounds like a possible slave cylinder leakage problem.
