1999 Other Saturn Models SC2 to SC1 change

Can I change an sc2 dohc to an sc1 sohc engine in my 1999 sc2 five speed when the sc1 sohc came from a 1999 sc1 five speed?

I really have found that isnt worth it. You will need a new PCM, wiring harness, all accessories are usually different, mounting brackets for all of it. Winds up costing about double what you think it will in nickel and dime stuff.
