1999 Other Saturn Models No oil

son didn't check oil level, while driving car engine quit, tried to restart starter only clicked, engine wouldn't turn over, tried to push stop again wouldn't turn over, checked dip stiick no oil. Syntethic oil, wasn't going fast when engine quit, figure minimum will be bearings, possible crank damage, rings not sure what do you think? Cams ok twin overhead cam oild doesn't smell burned

Can you turn the engine over with a breaker bar? Sounds like it might be time for a motor.
