1998 Other Saturn Models 4 cyl Front Wheel Drive Manual

98 saturn sl clutch slipping,replacing clutch,i discovered transmission oil dripping off the release bearing so i suspect the input seal has failed.how do i get it out and put in a new one?

Well,i discovered what my problem is,there is no available information regarding this trans,saturn repair manuals I.E. Haynes and others offer no repair information for manual transmissions.i made contact with a dealer and trans must be split to replace the quill bearing/seal.its not extremely difficult to do,just waiting for a quote on parts.overall the job should take about 8-10 hours to complete.
