i live in FL. my car recently kept over heating, my husband changed the thermistate and it was good for abit but now theres a werid ratting noise when ever we give it gas or when it reves

possibly the catalic converter is bad ,they tend to break in peaces inside and rattle.go under car and bang on it with fist and listen for rattle or loose things inside.
