I have a 95 Saturn 5 speed that I have had for 3 years and no problems out of!! Wonderful car, however, the other day I parked the car and the next morning when I started the car and pressed the clutch, the shifter was free. It would not go into ANY gear. It gave no warning that anything was wrong. Any ideas???

The shifter uses cables to transfer the movment of the shifter to the transmission. Those cable can break, come undone, or their housings can shift. You need to put the car up on jack stands and take a look underneath with a helper moving the shift lever.

Good luck and let us know. :)
