1995 Other Saturn Models Engine Size unknown Wheel Drive Type unknown Manual 161345 miles

I am trying to figure out why my temp. light keeps coming on every time I drive. The engine coolant level is full. What do think the problem may be?

add coolant light thats come on
check coolant level sensor
or
car running hot
check / replace thermostat
