1995 Other Saturn Models 4 cyl Two Wheel Drive Automatic

I replaced my starter after it started smokig and caught fire,but now the car won't start,there is only a clicking sound. What could be the problem?

u could have a bad new starter a burnt wire not carrying enough power to turn the starter loose connection a locked up engine check those things and let me know what u find.
